My earlier tries at this lighthouse hadn't gone well. Either the weather was bad or the lighthouse was under maintenance. I was in the Northwest that week for the Rainier wildflowers, saw a possible weather window, and made a last-minute call to drive down. I went alone, slept in the car, and was there for sunrise. The fog was rolling in, and I was hoping to get the light before it came onshore and covered everything up.
