We landed the zodiacs mid-morning into blowing snow and found five thousand gentoos coming out of the water at once, which the crew said they'd never seen. The snow went from sideways to whiteout and back all morning and none of the penguins cared. They climbed a few hundred feet of that slope and you had to step aside when a line came at you.
