I've hiked the Narrows multiple times, and each trip still turns up new compositions. You still have to be there when the bounce light actually shows up. The canyon runs for miles, so if you're not near the spot you want when the light hits, you miss it. You pick a place and a time and hope the clouds don't close off the light coming down. This was one of the times the theory held. I may change between visits. The canyon doesn't.
