Fire to a World So Cold

Tom Dick and Harry Mountain • Oregon

Collector Edition of 25. Signed, numbered, registered.

We snowshoed up in a snowstorm with a few feet of visibility. The storm cleared overnight and the wind came up, howling until morning. By sunrise it had gone dead calm and single digits, and the soft snow we'd walked in on had set into a crust. The ground was littered with chunks of cornice the wind had torn off and thrown uphill in the dark.
