We took a jeep up a narrow single-lane road through the forest to an overlook I'd never been to. The wind had been at it all day, and some of the aspens were already dropping their leaves. Right at sunset the light got onto Capitol and a cloud blowing over the top caught it too, which is about as good as a first night anywhere gets.
