I'd wanted to snow camp on this rim for years and finally had two days for it. We snowshoed about four miles toward the Watchman and spent forty five minutes digging a platform out of the snow. The light that evening was nothing special. Some of it is the picture. Most of it isn't. We'd have gone anyway.
