First trip into The Subway. We were exploring more than hunting a frame: red rock, mild flow, cottonwoods in peak yellow. It was a warm morning in the mid-sixties under a bald blue sky. Three years later I came back and bounced my camera down this same cascade, snapping the lens off. First of many times over the years I'd get to know Canon's excellent repair service.
